我が東久留米駅でも実施されています
パークアンドライドとは自動車を自分の最寄り駅や郊外の駅周辺の駐車場に停めて
都心や観光地の中心部へは公共交通機関を使って移動する方法
これにより都心の交通渋滞が緩和されて大気汚染、地球温暖化も減少します
市役所の通りを走っているとこんな看板を見たことがありますか？
この看板に沿って走っていくと、ご覧のコインパーキングにたどり着きます
日中の駐車料金は1時間200円、12時間停めて800円
普通に停めるだけでも1時間200円は安いですが
もっと安くなれば利用者も増えると思います。1時間50円くらいで（笑）
※新情報 現在は料金体系が変わっているとのこと

京都議定書のCO2削減目標もあることですし
ここはもっと税金を投入してもいいのではないでしょうか
都心に別に駐車場を借りてクルマ通勤をしている人は
パークアンドライド利用でコストダウンできる可能性もあり
朝の都心渋滞のイライラもなくなります。クルマ通勤をしている人は検討してみてはいかが？

この駐車場は、先月一時閉鎖（オーナーが変わったのかも？）し、看板等が写真の物と異なっています。
料金体系も、12時間800円から、24時間1,000円に変更になりました。
